Evil Dead Burn is joining Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts in 2026. The new haunted house opens August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Both versions are based on Evil Dead Burn, the latest film in the horror franchise. Halloween Horror Nights runs through November 1 at both resorts.
What happens inside the Evil Dead Burn house?
The story begins at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. Guests will move through scenes inspired by the film while ferocious Deadites appear throughout the house.
Universal says the threat becomes more intense as guests continue through the experience. The Book of the Dead remains central to the story, unleashing the parasitic demons that possess their victims and turn them into Deadites.
The franchise began in 1981 and has become known for mixing extreme gore with dark humor. This new house brings the latest chapter to the event alongside previously announced attractions such as the Hellraiser house at Universal Orlando and the two-coast Stranger Things 5 houses.
Evil Dead Burn merchandise is also available
Universal is releasing a limited collection tied to the house. The first items include a T-shirt, hat, and an acrylic figure designed for the event’s Infernal Carnival collectible display.
The merchandise became available at both parks on July 21. Online sales begin July 22 at 9 a.m. Pacific through shopUniversal.com, with more items planned later in 2026.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 dates and tickets
Universal Orlando’s event begins Friday, August 28, and runs on select nights through Sunday, November 1. Ticket options include single-night admission, Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus, and Ultimate Frequent Fear passes.
Universal Orlando is also offering a Scream Early add-on. It allows admission to Universal Studios Florida beginning at 2 p.m. and early access to select houses before the event officially starts. Premier Passholders receive one event admission with a required reservation, subject to availability.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s event begins Thursday, September 3, and continues through Sunday, November 1. Available products include General Admission, Universal Express, R.I.P. Tour, Day/Night, After 2 P.M. Day/Night, Early Access, Frequent Fear, and Ultimate Fear options. The Early Access ticket provides entry to select houses beginning at 5:30 p.m., subject to change.
Universal says more haunted houses and event details will be announced later.
