Disney Parks has announced that their Hawaiian spa, Aulani Resort will begin a phased reopening on November 1 after Hawaii’s pre-arrival testing announcement.
In an official announcement on the Disney Parks blog, Shelli Weinstein wrote that “given Hawaii’s recent announcement of a pre-arrival testing program for those traveling from out-of-state, we are working toward a phased reopening of Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa beginning on Sunday, November 1.”
The resort will have extra health and safety measures in place such as temperature checks, social distancing, and enhanced cleaning.
Hawaii tourism is projected to increase this fall as the island state announced recently a plan for tourists to bypass their quarantine rules.
From October 15, any tourist entering Hawaii who takes a COVID-19 test that returns a negative result can bypass the quarantine rules.
Weinstein also said that “our gradual, phased approach to reopening considers the guidance of local and national government and health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the U.S. Travel Association and Disney’s team of health and safety experts.”
“This deliberate approach allows us to evaluate and adjust along the way, as circumstances and the recommendations of health authorities evolve.”
