Officials representing the state of California are currently reviewing options to reopen Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland.

According to a news report from The Orange County Register, California officials are reviewing exactly how and when to reopen the famous California parks to the public whilst complying with health and safety regulations.

A spokesperson for California Health and Human Services gave a statement to the OCR, stating “Theme parks are not permitted to open in California at this time, under current public health orders.”

The spokesperson also said, “We will continue to review health data to determine when and how theme parks may consider reopening at lower risk to staff and visitors.”

Originally, Disneyland Resort was scheduled to reopen on July 17 but this date was cancelled until further notice.
