California Governor, Gavin Newsom, has revealed that his administration will be releasing guidelines allowing California theme parks to reopen later today.

In a press conference yesterday, Newsom said that Dr. Mark Ghaly, Secretary of the California Health and Human Services tomorrow “will update you on some of those industry guidelines including sports and some of these theme parks”.

Last week, Disneyland reached an agreement with work unions allowing them to reopen as soon as California gave the green light.

Disneyland has been at the forefront of disagreements with the California state as it remains the last Disney theme park in the United States to reopen to the public with Walt Disney World in Florida reopening months earlier.

Newsom said that “we’re going to break up the theme parks. It’s not just one or two brands. It’s many different parts that are part of the theme park industry.”
