The monorail zips by Chef Mickey’s in the lobby of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The character dining experience with Mickey Mouse and friends in Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort will return on December 16 as announced by the company.

Along with the reopening, there will be new items added to the menu at the restaurant including Mickey’s new “Celebration pancake” featuring whipped cream, celebration sprinkles, and pixie dust.

Another new addition is a savory potato-cheese casserole topped with smoked bacon crumbles and chives.

The last new menu addition is Goofy’s banana bread French toast which combines unique flavors of banana bread baked in a zest orange-scented French toast batter, topped with Espresso-mascarpone cream, toasted bananas, and chocolate crumbles.

Reservations for Chef Mickey’s character dining experience will open on October 17 and are subject to availability. Disney Resort hotel guests are able to make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

The character dining experience may look a little different than the last time you visited, but you can still expect to smile, wave and make unforgettable memories with some of your favorite characters as they parade through the restaurant in their chefโ€™s best.
