According to Disney, the Indiana Jones Adventure ride is set to receive a major refurbishment. This is a classic Disneyland attraction that has been in desperate need of some TLC.
According to a permit with the city of Anaheim, Disney is replacing the collapsing bridge that riders cross. Disney will also refurbish rockwork around the attraction and the queue. March 4, 2020 is the 25th anniversary of this beloved Disney attraction.
The permit officially describes the work to “Remove and replace show set bridge to include steel structure, rockwork, and planks.” Disney has not added Indiana Jones Adventure to the Disneyland refurbishment calendar so we will keep you updated as we hear more! This ride tends to go down frequently during the day so we are hopeful that refurbishments will keep the attraction open and operational!
For those that aren’t familiar with the ride, this is a journey along with Indiana Jones on adventure into the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Everything seems fine until someone looks directly into the Forbidden Eye! Along the journey, you will see molten lava, spiders, snakes, and zip through poison darts and booby traps!
