In the summer of 2020, the Disney Parks Blog posted about a new reimagined “Splash Mountain” themed to the hit animated movie “The Princess and the Frog”.
Since last summer, we still haven’t heard back from Disney Parks about the reimagined attraction.
This week, Magic Kingdom Vice President Melissa Valiquette talked about Splash Mountain. She said the process is going to take some time and a lot of meetings. She also confirmed it’s still under development.
Valiquette said, “terrific work has been done, including some selections of music and animatronics”. Currently, there has been no word nor speculation on when this effort of changing Splash Mountain will take place.
In September of 2020, Disney Parks around the world announced their fifth key of making magic, “inclusion”.
These efforts have already been seen on beloved attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean and The World Famous Jungle Cruise in both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park.
Splash Mountain will officially be the next attraction to receive its change to welcome even more guests.
These changes will ensure every guest feels like they are in a safe and comfortable place during their stay at each Disney Park!
