Disneyland Paris will remain closed until February 2021 after French President Emmanuel Macron ruled out a holiday reopening for theme parks in France.

The French resort was “hoping to be able to reopen during the Christmas holiday season” but has confirmed that they will be closed until February 12.

Disneyland Paris said in a statement that “the latest government measures announced for France do not allow us to deliver the Disneyland Paris experience”.

“Therefore the destination will remain closed until 12 February 2021.”

“We look forward to welcoming you upon our reopening. In the meantime, if you have a booking with us during the period we are closed, please check here for our latest commercial conditions.”

“We thank you for your continued loyalty and understanding.”

Disney’s chief financial officer Christine McCarthy, also revealed that it is likely that Disneyland Resort will remain closed until 2021.

Customers with bookings from now onward to February 2021 are being asked to visit the Disneyland Paris website to rebook their stay to a later date.
