Disneyland Resort to Close Starting March 14

Disney just announced that after carefully reviewing the guidelines of the Govenor of California’s executive order, they are going to close Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, beginning on March 14 through the rest of the month.

The hotels of Disneyland Resort will remain open until Monday, March 16 to give time for guests to arrange other accommodations and to travel home. Downtown Disney will also remain open.

Disney will also work with guests regarding changing or canceling their reservations, as well as refunds.

Many events are starting to close in the United States due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and this is the first announcement for a theme park stateside. Disney previously closed the parks in Shanghai, Tokyo, and Paris.
