For those visiting Disneyland Resort for its reopening this Friday, Disney has released a planning checklist to help you get ready to return to the magic.

In the checklist that Michael Ramirez published on the Disney Parks blog, he also included several reminders and tips to help you have a seamless visit.

Disneyland Resort is having a big week with its reopening as it has announced a special ‘live moment’ will be streaming tonight at 8 pm EDT.

Before you arrive

Starting off with before you arrive at the resort, all guests will need to ensure that they have a ticket and theme park reservation confirmation.

All guests ages 3 and up will need both a valid ticket and theme park reservation for the same day and park that you want to visit.

Theme park reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability due to the resort’s limited capacity.

You will also need proof of California residency to enter the park and may be asked to show this if necessary.

To make the most of your visit, guests are encouraged to download the Disneyland app so that you can link tickets, mobile order food and beverages, view attraction wait times, and more.

For guests who are starting their day at Disneyland park, you will be able to access the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue beginning at 7 am.

The attraction’s virtual queue will only be accessible via the Disneyland mobile app and you can only experience the attraction by joining the virtual queue. You will need to have your park ticket linked to your Disney account.

If you’re not starting your day at Disneyland park, you may still be able to access the virtual queue from 12 pm.

Guests who have a valid ticket and park reservation, and have entered Disneyland California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket by noon, may access the virtual queue system to check for available boarding groups beginning at 12 pm.

When you arrive

When you arrive at the resort, park at Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals parking structures. Since all guests will have a theme park reservation, there is no requirement to get to the parking areas early.

However, the tram will not be operating and extra time will be needed to walk along the pedestrian bridge from the parking structures.


Disneyland are not encouraging early arrivals and line ups will not be allowed prior to 6 am on opening weekend.

Don’t forget your face covering as they are required for all guests ages 2 and older throughout Disneyland resort.

During your visit

Throughout your visit, if you have a Park Hopper ticket and an appropriate park reservation, you will be able to visit the park on the same day anytime after 1 pm.

The best advice is to plan ahead with plenty of time to spare, you can also use the mobile order service to order food and beverages at many dining locations throughout the resort.

Food and beverages can only be consumed in dedicated dining areas.

Cashless transactions are highly encouraged with Apple Pay, dining cards and gift cards all supported.
