Select indoor character greetings are returning at Walt Disney World parks for the first time during the pandemic (with social distancing).

For the last year or so, characters have only made outdoor appearances.

They have had cavalcades and motorcades in each of the parks, where characters drive (or float) by, waving to happy guests. Characters have shown up on balconies and other far away spots for fun surprise moments.

But now, for the first time since the theme parks reopened last year during the pandemic, guests will be able to meet their favorite characters inside of their regular venues.

Disney says that it is not quite time for hugs and autographs though, so these character greetings will be social distanced for everyone’s safety.

Look for the Disney Princesses to return to Princess Fairytale Hall at the Magic Kingdom.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll soon find Minnie Mouse at Red Carpet Dreams and the stars of Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard.

And when you stop in to see Mickey Mouse backstage at Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A., he’ll be sporting his all-new EARidescent look designed just for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Each of these locations is planned to start welcoming guests in November.
