A new scene based on Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” is coming to the attraction at Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World.
Mickey’s PhilharMagic is being updated with a new scene for the first time since it debuted. The new scene will feature the musical number “Un Poco Loco” from the Disney/Pixar film “Coco.”
The new sequence will be present when the attraction opens to guests at Disney California Adventure park and Disneyland Paris on July 17, before being added to Magic Kingdom Park later this year during the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration.
Disney and Pixar animators are working together to create the new sequence, which will feature Donald Duck interacting with characters and settings from the film.
With music playing such an integral role in “Coco,” one of the film’s original composers, the world-renowned Germaine Franco, is creating pieces of musical score to accompany the animation, which will be unique to Philharmagic.
This new sequence will be joining all of the show’s current musical numbers.
