Guests visiting Disney California Adventure right now are able to get close to the upcoming Avengers Campus, but Disney has shared photos from inside.
Avengers Campus will officially open at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort on June 4th, but Disney has shared some new details and photos from the land.
To start, Disney says that the Avengers CAMPUS actually stands for “Centralized Assembly Mobilized to Prepare, Unite, and Safeguard.”
Many of the guests visiting the theme parks for the first time in over a year in recent days have noted the new strange blue goo in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.
Disney says the new colorful design represents a cosmic disruption that oozed from the ground below when the Collector placed his fortress in the area.
Nearby a new Terran Treats food cart will offer a weird yet delightful menu of snacks, including Sweet Spiral Ration Churros that will feature unique and unexpected flavors.
Inside of the Avengers Campus area, Pym Test Kitchen, featuring Impossible foods, is themed as a science lab where “Pym Particles” are used to grow and shrink just about anything, including the food.
Even the drink and condiment dispensers have been grown to enormous sizes, and can be seen inside the restaurant.
At Avengers Headquarters, the building with the Quinjet on the roof, you may catch of a glimpse of some of the Avengers in the flesh as they prepare for another mission.
Tucked away inside of the Campus area, an Ancient Sanctum is where you’ll learn mysterious secrets from Doctor Strange and discover ancient, magical artifacts.
The photo below shows the Orb of Cagliostro, which glows at night when it flows with magical energy!
At the front of the land, an old Stark Motors factory has been converted into the new WEB headquarters. That’s the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, and is the location of the new Spider-Man ride, WEB SLINGERS!
While the Avengers are sleek and organized, WEB is expressive a bit more chaotic. You’ll notice this throughout WEB. For example, outside the building, you can’t miss the colorful graffiti murals created by young recruits with a knack for the arts.
