The Grand Californian Hotel is officially open for guests as Disneyland is set to reopen tomorrow, April 30.
Theme Park Shark is at the Grand Californian Hotel to see the reopening of the classic hotel the day before Disneyland officially reopens to guests. The hotel opened today and has been closed since March 2020 due to COVID-19.
Cast members are eagerly awaiting to welcome guests back! There are plenty of safety signs located around the resort, reminding guests of social distancing, as well as the face mask covering requirements and safety rules.
The pool is currently open, and there are chairs set up around the pool with signs asking not to move them, since they’ve been set up to create social distancing and keep within the guidelines.
The rooms are cleaned and sanitized, and even the remote is has been covered in a bag and cleaned for guests safety.
In terms of food, The Craftsman Grill is open for guests to grab some food, complete with social distancing and safety signage. Different food offerings include assorted pastries, chips, and cereal, as well as cupcakes, donuts and brownies.
You can also grab food at The Hearthstone Lounge. You can scan a QR code from your table at Hearthstone or you can ask for a paper menu. Hearthstone is currently offering food/sharing offerings from other spots around the Grand Californian Hotel.
