California state has revealed in a recent press conference that “progress is still being made” in regards to Disneyland and other theme park re-openings.
Last week, California Governor, Gavin Newsom said that discussions regarding the reopening of California theme parks would be “coming soon”.
In a press conference yesterday, Newsom revealed that “progress is still being made” for guidelines that will allow theme parks to reopen safely to members of the public.
He also said that they are “working on some details” and will make an official announcement as soon as possible.
It is possible that there may be substantial progress made by the end of this week which allows Disneyland to set a reopening date.
Disney Parks Chairman, Josh D’Amaro has previously said that Disneyland is “ready to go” and reopen to the public.
Theme parks in California have been closed since March due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has left a $8.5 billion hole in the Southern California economy.
