The new service can be found inside the updated official app, and can help you plan your day, as well as offer add-ons to reserve Lightning Lane reservations for most rides.

Disney Genie has officially launched at Walt Disney World, and guests visiting today are among the first to be able to use this new service during their visit.

The Disney Genie service itself is free, and can be found in the Walt Disney World’s official app.

Using Disney Genie can help you sort your reservations for the day, check attraction wait times and it can even suggest what do do next based on your personal preferences.

For $15 extra per person per day, you can activate Disney Genie+. That will allow you to make Lightning Lane reservations all day to wait less time in some of the lines for many attractions.

AR PhotoPass filters are available with Disney Genie+

Disney Genie+ also adds special photo filters you can use around the parks, and audio segments you can listen to hear fun facts about the parks.

Certain attractions are not included in the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections however, but can be purchased separately.

These “Individual Lightning Lane” reservations are two of the most popular attractions at each of the theme parks, and range in price from $7 to $15.

When using Disney Genie, guests can check the “Tip Board” tab any time to see what the current wait times are across the resort, as well as what Lightning Lane reservations are available.

You can select the “My Day” tab to see what reservations you already have, including dining, Lightning Lane and more.

The My Day tab is also where you’ll find helpful suggestions to help get the most out of your day.

See our previous story for more details on Disney Genie and Lightning Lane, including which attractions are available for all of the parks.
