Hersheypark has released their 2021 dates of operation, their 115th season in service.
Hersheypark’s first operating date for 2021 will be Friday, April 2, and will continue to be open most weekend dates through the end of May until its summer hours go into effect.
During their summer hours, Hersheypark will be open every day until September 6th, going back to weekends only.
After the summer season, the seasonal hits Hersheypark in the Dark and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane will be making their return as well.
Additionally, for the first time ever, 2021 tickets can be used on any public operating day. The full operating calendar can be found below.
While last year was the grand opening of the new Chocolatetown section, which includes the hit new Candymonium coaster, there’s even more in store for Chocolatetown this year.
Park guests will be able to check The Chocolatier, a full-service restaurant, and bar. Additionally, there will be new places for treats: The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen and Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor. These three culinary attractions will open early in the summer season.
Last year Hersheypark had to shorten its operating season due to COVID-19, postponing opening until July 3, 2020.
Additionally, two fan-favorite coasters were closed: Storm Runner and Sooperdooperlooper. It’s still unknown if these coasters will be available for riders this season, but the company plans to share their list of open attractions in the coming months.
Hersheypark is expected to still enforce their COVID-19 health and safety guidelines implemented last year, which include an online guest reservation system, requiring face coverings, temperature screenings to enter the park, sanitizing of rides, and more.
