Aquatica / SeaWorld

Aquatica Orlando, located right next to SeaWorld, is set to launch Riptide Race on April 3.

Riptide Race is a fast-paced waterslide that pits teams against each other. You start atop a 68-foot tower, before racing down a 650-foot slide to compete with the other team to see who can make it to the finish line first.

The rafts are for two people, and you must be at least 42 inches to ride.

“We are thrilled to introduce Riptide Race, an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Florida. Aquatica is the first waterpark in the state to have a dueling racer and we know our guests are going to love the fun of challenging their friends and family in a race to the finish,” said Kyle Miller, Park President.

“Riptide Race is the perfect addition to our attraction portfolio, complementing what is already one of the most family-friendly waterslide lineups in Orlando. Health and safety continue to be a top priority for our parks, and we can’t wait to see our guests enjoy this new ride.”

In addition to the ride, they’ve also announced two brand new dining experiences – Ke-Re’s Bar and Papa’s Cantina. Ke-Re’s Bar is an open-air bar that includes refreshing cocktails such as the Pineapple Plunge, Orlando Vice, and the Ke-Re’s Riptide Margarita.

At Papa’s Cantina, guests will be able to enjoy their flavorful foods such as their Signature Empanadas, Boneless Wings, Papa’s Special, as well as a handful of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshers.
