The official concept art and permits for Universal Orlando’s upcoming theme park show a dual track racing coaster—and a fan-made recreation attempts to create a 3D model of its layout.

As seen in the officially released concept art for Universal’s Epic Universe, the park is expected to open with a large dueling roller coaster.

This roller coaster is expected to be a part of the new theme park’s central hub, and not part of any of the themed lands for the park.

As part of the hub area, rumored to be called “Celestial Gardens,” the roller coaster is expected to be themed to outer space in some way, and not one of the intellectual properties that will represent the lands for the park, like Super Nintendo World.

The POV video above was created using Planet Coaster, and is based on the park’s official concept art, as well as an early version of the track layout (below,) which was originally shared last year.

Mack Rides has been rumored to be the manufacturer for the new roller coaster, having said in an interview that they had an order for a large project that was delayed last year.

Mack recently patented a new type of dueling zero-g barrel roll that seems to match one of the moves in the early track layout, adding more credence to the theory.

Universal Orlando has not yet released any details on the attractions for Epic Universe, but they did announce that construction would be resuming last month after major work was paused last summer due to the pandemic.

An official opening date for Epic Universe has not yet been announced, but some believe it will be opening by 2025 at the latest.
