In an announcement today, Universal Beijing Resort has revealed it will be opening to the public on September 20.

The resort has been under construction since 2016 and completed Phase 1 of development earlier this year in April.

Universal Studios Beijing will become the resort’s flagship park and will include several themed areas including Hollywood, Waterworld, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and more.

Full operation of the resort will begin on September 20, in the meantime, Universal will be conducting an invite-only test operation.

Universal Beijing Resort also includes a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex, and six hotels.

Guests who have been able to purchase tickets for the soft opening till September 20, cannot transfer or sell their tickets to others members of the public.

This week, Universal Resort station of Beijing Subway, on the Batong line and Line 7 opened giving guests easier transportation to the resort.

Universal CityWalk Beijing will include a cinema with over 11 theaters and 2,000 seats, Starbucks, Universal Studios Store, and a CityWalk Red Oven Pizza Bakery.
