Universal Orlando: Volcano Bay to Re-open February 27
Universal Studios Orlando has announced that Universal’s Volcano Bay water park will re-open on February 27.
The water park has been closed for a “seasonal closure” since November 2 and when re-opened, extra health and safety measures will remain in place since its pandemic-related closure last year.
Visitors to the park will be required to undergo temperature screenings before entering and face masks must be worn inside restaurants and retail locations.
Face masks however will not be allowed on waterslides or in the pools.
“Due to increased demand, while we limit attendance as part of our enhanced procedures, parks may reach capacity more quickly at times throughout the year, and entry to the parks may be limited or unavailable for the day or visits at times throughout the year,” Universal announced.
Volcano Bay’s reopening comes a week before Walt Disney World is set to reopen its Blizzard Beach water park at the beginning of March.
