Effective Thursday, October 7, 2021, the LA County Department of Health recently announced that (first dose) vaccinations or negative COVID-19 test results would be required to enter many different locations.

Universal Studios Hollywood and Six Flags Magic Mountain will require guests to be vaccinated with their first dose of any FDA-approved vaccine or a negative COVID-19 test result within the last 72 hours for entry.

Both theme parks in LA county are included under this new mandate.

Adults ages 18 and up will be required to show a photo ID and vaccination card for entry. LA county has mentioned that the photo ID does not have to be government-issued.

Children from the ages of 12 to 17 are not required to show photo ID. For children under the age of 12, vaccinations nor negative test results are not required for entry.

LA County requests that all theme park guests be fully vaccinated after November for entry.

These mandates will not affect theme parks outside of LA County at the moment, such as Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, or Knott’s Berry Farm.

Additionally, on to these mandates, masks will still be required and both indoor and outdoor locations. Outdoor mask requirements were placed into effect on September 23, 2021.

Face coverings must be worn in outdoor and indoor locations inside Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and only in indoor areas at Universal City Walk.
