Universal Studios Japan has announced that the park will be extending its closure due to state of emergency at Osaka Prefecture.
Announced on the official website, the park has explained that they will be informing guests of a reopening date as soon as possible.
“With the extension of the “state of emergency” to Osaka Prefecture, Universal Studios Japan will continue to be temporarily closed due to the ongoing requests for practical closure of theme parks in the prefecture.”
“Please see below for the handling of tickets during the holiday period.”
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to the guests who were looking forward to the visit.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
It was only a few weeks ago that the park first announced that they would be closing until further notice as the area was struggling with rising cases of the UK COVID-19 variant.
