VelociCoaster: Walls Down and Merchandise Now Available
Walls around the Jurassic World VelociCoaster have come down exposing the paddock area, as new ride merchandise fills the gift shops at Universal Orlando.
The last remaining work walls around the ‘raptor paddock’ area of the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster were taken down overnight, allowing guests their first clear view into the first half of the attraction this morning.

The VelociCoaster was testing at various points throughout the day, offering guests a new way to appreciate this incredible new ride from inside the park.

Ahead of the opening for this highly anticipated new roller coaster, several pieces of new merchandise are now available at many of the gift shops around the Jurassic Park area, as well as the main shop near the entrance to Islands of Adventure.

Several new shirts in adult and child sizes have popped up today, as well as mugs, shot glasses, keychains, pins and lanyards.

There were several items that featured the words “grand opening” on them available this morning, however they have since been removed from all gift shops on property.
The special grand opening shirt, pin, and lanyard pouch designs were reportedly put out too early, but are expected to return sometime in the near future.

You can find most of the current merchandise at the various gift shops inside of Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure, including Jurassic Outfitters, as well as the park’s main gift shop, Trading Company.
Some VelociCoaster branded items may also be available at the official Universal Orlando online store. Additional items are expected to show up shortly as well, including a hat and a Coke Freestyle tumbler.

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster is set to officially open this summer. Stay tuned for more news on this attraction as it happens!
