Mamma Mia! Can’t you believe it’s been a year? Universal Studios Hollywood recently celebrated one year of their grand opening of Super Nintendo World.
Opened on February 17th, 2023, Super Nintendo World became a game changer for guests visiting the park and were immersed into Super Mario’s World like never before. The land features attractions such as the groundbreaking and the one-of-a-kind Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge. Guests can also explore a different side of attractions using their power-up band. You can throw shells at the Goombas or go around the land to look for extra coins hidden in the ? boxes. The land also features the Toadstool Cafe, a cafe run by Toad, and can shop at the 1-Up Factory, which is perfect for fans of the Nintendo gaming franchise.
February 15th, 2024 will see Super Nintendo World celebrate in style with a range of tasty food and drink options to celebrate the land’s 1st anniversary. A brand new cafe called Power Up Cafe, a innovative grab-and-go-style cafe located on the upper lot, will open which is the first Nintendo-themed cafe outside the land. Guests can choose from a great selection of food and drink which can be pre-ordered using the app or you can walk up in person and order in the cafe.

Super Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom-shaped calzone filled with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce.
1-Up Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom-shaped calzone filled with spinach, green pepper, mushroom, mozzarella cheese, and basil pesto.
Fire Flower Pretzel: Fire flower-shaped pretzel served with chipotle cheese, mustard, and white queso dipping sauces.
Super Star Popcorn: Butter popcorn topped with edible glitter.
Beverages:
Drop in the Power-Up sugar shapes to change the color and flavor.

And it’s not just about the dazzling food! Starting February 17, Universal will highlight new merch opportunities including a special release golden power band, in addition to the 6 Power-Up bands that the park offers for purchase. Also, for a limited period, guests can get a free complimentary 1-year anniversary button, a collector’s piece. This button can be claimed from guest services while supplies last.
