Florida might not receive much in the way of seasons changing – where other states are starting to feel the weather cool and see the leaves change colors, things are pretty steady here in Central Florida. Because of our subtropical climate, we often have to make our own holiday cheer, and fall is no exception!
This year, Halloween and the fall season at Walt Disney World is nothing to shake a stick at! With more events and specialty items than you can reasonable see in a season, the Orlando theme parks have ensured that there is always something to do to help it feel a little bit more like the holidays in our consistent heat and relentless sunshine.
With this year’s Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT in full swing, now seems like the perfect time to remind Passholders that there is a whole world of exclusive merch out there, just for you! Celebrate the festival in style with these new Passholder collectibles, featuring adorable new art in a clean, minimalist, but still charming and classic lineless style that showcases Mickey and Minnie enjoying the festivities almost as much as you are! Tee shirts, caps, drinkware, and collectible enamel pins are available in a variety of new styles helping celebrate the 2024 Food and Wine Festival!
Passholders aren’t the only ones getting perks this fall! Guests throughout the Disney property are able to partake in some of the season’s spookiest tricks and treats at restaurants and shops all across Walt Disney World, including Disney Springs! Available until October 31st, guests can sample a ton of spooky desserts, like the Madame Leota Petit Cake featured above, available at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs Town Center!
Other locations participating in these spooktacular tastes are D-Luxe Burger, Disney’s Candy Cauldron, The Ganachery, Goofy’s Candy Company, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, Swirls on the Water, and Dockside Margaritas. There’s plenty of treats to try and tricks to pull throughout Disney Springs, and mobile ordering makes it easier than ever to cover all your bases. Mobile ordering is available through the My Disney Experience App – your go-to app for planning and executing the perfect Disney Day! – for restaurants like Amorette’s Patisserie, D-Luxe Burger, and Jock Lindsey’s.
And remember! Guests will need to be over 21 and present valid ID to sample any alcoholic beverages, no matter how festive they might be!
Disney Springs is also offering a slew of exciting fall festivities. Throughout the month of October – taking place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (as well as October 30th and 31st) – guests will be able to find thrilling and terrifying street entertainment throughout Disney Springs! Performers include Skeleton Stiltwalkers, Zombie Drummers, Roving Pumpkin DJs, and Squad Ghouls Acapella Groups.
The Roving Pumpkin DJs will be performing at Disney Springs every evening in October, and the Squad Ghouls will be performing at the AdventHealth Waterside Stage every Saturday!
In addition to this live entertainment, Disney Springs has also added some spooky new fall-themed backdops to its Disney PhotoPass Studio location! These professional photographers will snap the perfect pictures – for memories that will become keepsakes as you get to take a bit of the Disney Magic home with you!
And through November 1st, 2024, guests can wander the streets of EPCOT in search of stellar new decorations that may look hauntingly familiar! Pumpkins based on popular Disney Characters have been hidden throughout the park, and finding them all has never been so much fun!
Guests can purchase game boards and stickers at select locations within the EPCOT park, including the Creations Shop, the Port of Entry, and the World Traveler Store. Even better guest, guests can use their annual pass to receive a discount on this spooky scavenger hunt! Roam EPCOT and be sure to keep an eye out for these fantastic pumpkins! When you spot one, place the corresponding sticker on your map, and don’t forget to hand in your completed game board at Disney Traders or World Traveler for a spooky surprise!
With EPCOT’s long history of interactive games within their park, and the growing popularity of seasonal scavenger hunts within the theme parks in general, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is sure to be a fun time for the family, or just a nice way to ensure you see all the sights EPCOT has to offer on your own!
With so much going on at Walt Disney World to help usher in the end-of-year holidays, who needs things like fall leaves or cool weather? At the end of the day, here in Florida, you can still get all of the holiday festivities and none of the snow shoveling! And – as I’m sure Floridians statewide would agree – that’s worth celebrating! So be sure to take a moment to appreciate the festivities and how our Orlando theme parks strive to bring us the most festive holidays in all of Florida, the next time you visit Walt Disney World!
