Since 1944, the Golden Globe awards have been the ultimate honor in celebrating international film and television; across the awards’ twenty-seven categories, the Golden Globe has awarded hundreds of its accolades to artists across the industry for outstanding work in their field. With such an illustrious history, it’s no surprise that the Walt Disney Company’s family of studios has been granted thirty-five nominations for this season’s award ceremony. Between Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Searchlight Pictures, and Marvel Studios, the entertainment giant has produced exceptional entertainment this year, from its Hulu Originals to blockbuster animated films like Inside Out 2 or Moana 2.
Disney’s streaming platforms alone (comprised of Disney+ and Hulu) are responsible for a whopping 23 of these nominations, 19 of which are Hulu nominees like Hulu Original Only Murders in the Building, two FX series Shōgun and The Bear, and ABC’s Abbott Elementary.
FX’s The Bear alone garnered five different nominations across five different categories, making it the most nominated Disney property represented at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, with nominations in Best Television Series, Best Performance by and Actor in a Television Series, Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Television, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Television.
In addition to Disney’s streaming services, blockbuster Disney films also charted this year, with nominations for Inside Out 2 (with nominations for Best Motion Picture – Animated, and the Cinematic Box Office Achievement), Alien: Romulus (with nomination for Best Cinematic Box Office Achievement) , Deadpool & Wolverine (with nomination for Best Cinematic Box Office Achievement), and Moana 2 (with nomination for Best Motion Picture – Animated).
Searchlight Studios, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney company, also garnered several nominations this season, including nods for Best Motion Picture, and Best Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy. The studio also featured nominations for actors and actresses that have excelled in their roles, such as Timothée Chalamet, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will premier January 5th at 8:00 PM EST, where cast, crew, and audience alike will be able to see what awards the Walt Disney family of studios will get to take home this year!
