Even though the event isn’t until August, The Walt Disney Company has officially announced that today, April 14th, D23 Tickets for the 2025 event are officially up for sale.
For the uninitiated, D23 is the ultimate fan expo for Walt Disney World Resorts worldwide, where the biggest and boldest announcements get made, allowing Disney to hype people up for movies, games, new destination offerings, and theme park news all across the world. During this three day event, Disney gives attendees and viewers the scoop behind some of the biggest plans guests will get to see come to life at the theme parks like Disneyland Resort in California, Walt Disney World in Orlando, and several high-profile parks overseas.
Theme Park Shark covered last year’s D23 event live, with breaking news on some of Disney’s most anticipated projects hitting our social media as it was being announced. Check out our overview of last year’s presentation [here], and our coverage of some of the hottest Marvel news to come out of 2024’s D23 [here]. Theme Park Shark was also among the one of the first time break news about the upcoming Disney Villains land planned for The Magic Kingdom, which was first announced at D23 in 2024:
This year, the D23 Expo – Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney – will be held at Walt Disney World Resort August 29th to August 31st, 2025.
During this time, guests with admission to the expo will have access to over twenty five specially-curated presentations from across the company, including Walt Disney Studios, Disney Entertainment Television, Disney Experiences, and the Walt Disney Archives. Guests will be to hear insight from some of Disney’s most lauded Imagineers, archivists, on-screen talent, and all of the folks who make these incredible projects of imagination possible!
In addition to the panels and presentations, Disney will also be offering guests the shopping opportunity of a lifetime with the D23 Shopping Spree.
Fan favorites like The Walt Disney Company Store and Mickey’s of Glendale have already been announced to be returning alongside a new shop: The Disney Studio Store Hollywood. These three locations will be selling high-demand merchandise including limited-edition pins that will only be available through a random selection process run by D23 staff.
Ink & Paint Marketplace will also be making a comeback at this years’ D23, featuring some of the best Disney styles across some of the company’s most popular brand collaborations.
