Disney+ has announced the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, premiering on March 24, 2026, exactly 20 years after the show first debuted on Disney Channel.
The special will feature Miley Cyrus reflecting on the role that launched her career. Disney+ confirmed the news on social media with the message: “Going back to where it all began.”
The anniversary special will be hosted by Alex Cooper of the Call Her Daddy podcast and will include an exclusive interview with Cyrus, never-before-seen footage, recreated sets, and a look at the character’s creation and cultural impact.
Cyrus shared her excitement about the project, saying, “Hannah Montana will always be part of who I am.”
Hannah Montana premiered on March 24, 2006, and ran for four seasons on Disney Channel through 2011. The show followed Miley Stewart, a teenager living a double life as a pop star, and became one of Disney Channel’s most-watched series.
The special joins a growing slate of original content on Disney+, which has increasingly leaned into nostalgia-driven programming for its audience.
The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special streams exclusively on Disney+ starting March 24.
