Disneyland Paris has shared a first look at the new room designs coming to Disney Sequoia Lodge as part of the resort’s ongoing hotel transformation plan. The renovations will update and elevate the guest experience while preserving the warm, nature-inspired atmosphere that has defined the hotel since it opened in 1992.
The first phase of the project focuses on all rooms in the five outdoor lodges, located in the heart of the sequoia forest surrounding the hotel. While preparatory construction is underway, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams are finalizing the new model rooms, a critical step that allows Imagineers to experience their creative vision at full scale for the first time.

Sophie Coudre, Artistic Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, described the process: “The model rooms allow us to validate the overall artistic direction with all the teams involved, refine the creative choices, and make any necessary adjustments, particularly regarding the materials used. We are delighted with the results of these tests and look forward to welcoming our guests into the new rooms, where they can be fully immersed in the beauty of nature once the renovations are complete.”

Bambi and Brave Take Center Stage
The new rooms will embrace an updated artistic direction for Disney Sequoia Lodge, celebrating the beauty of nature through beloved Disney characters who call the forest home. Bambi and friends will feature prominently, alongside the characters from Pixar’s Brave. Design elements spotted in the model rooms include wooden panels with character illustrations, nature-inspired lantern sconces, and frosted glass with forest animal silhouettes.

What Comes Next
After the outdoor lodge rooms are completed, the remaining guest rooms along with all key public areas of Disney Sequoia Lodge, including the lobby, restaurants, and shops, will be reimagined as a celebration of wildlife. Disney Sequoia Lodge will remain open to guests throughout the renovation, with work being carried out in phases.

Disney Sequoia Lodge originally opened with the resort in 1992. The hotel is themed to the American Pacific Northwest, set among a forest of sequoia trees surrounding its own lake. It is one of several Disneyland Paris hotels undergoing renovations as part of a broader transformation plan for the resort.
