We collected 517,274 wait time readings across 187 rides and 9 theme parks from March 17 through April 1, 2026. This is what the data shows.

No surveys, no estimates. Every number below comes from real ride wait times tracked every 10 minutes.

The Longest Waits in Theme Parks Right Now

These are the rides with the highest average wait times across all parks in our dataset.

Rank Ride Park Avg Wait Peak Wait
1 Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure Islands of Adventure 127 min 240 min
2 Mine-Cart Madness Epic Universe 116 min 210 min
3 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind EPCOT 105 min 195 min
4 Radiator Springs Racers Disney California Adventure 99 min 150 min
5 Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Disney California Adventure 97 min 170 min
6 Test Track EPCOT 95 min 150 min
7 Slinky Dog Dash Hollywood Studios 89 min 180 min
8 Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Hollywood Studios 85 min 185 min
9 TRON Lightcycle / Run Magic Kingdom 82 min 130 min
10 Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Epic Universe 80 min 185 min

Epic Universe Wait Times: All 12 Rides Ranked

Epic Universe opened May 22, 2025 and is still in its peak demand period. Here are all 12 rides ranked by average wait time.

Ride Avg Wait Peak Wait Lowest Seen
Mine-Cart Madness 116 min 210 min 35 min
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry 80 min 185 min 5 min
Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge 70 min 200 min 10 min
Curse of the Werewolf 50 min 120 min 5 min
Hiccup Wing Glider 43 min 120 min 5 min
Dragon Racer’s Rally 38 min 100 min 5 min
Yoshi’s Adventure 36 min 95 min 5 min
Stardust Racers 31 min 105 min 5 min
Constellation Carousel 21 min 75 min 5 min
Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment 16 min 60 min 10 min
Fyre Drill 13 min 65 min 5 min
Bowser Jr. Challenge 9 min 30 min 5 min

Epic Universe strategy from the data: Mine-Cart Madness averages over 2 hours. Hit it at park open or use Virtual Queue. Mario Kart and Harry Potter at the Ministry are the next two longest — do both before 10 AM or budget Lightning Lane. Everything from Constellation Carousel down averages under 25 minutes and can be walked up at any time.

Magic Kingdom Wait Times: All 29 Rides Ranked

Magic Kingdom has the most rides of any Disney park. Here is every attraction ranked by average wait time based on our data.

Rank Ride Avg Wait Peak Wait
1 TRON Lightcycle / Run 82 min 130 min
2 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 62 min 95 min
3 Peter Pan’s Flight 49 min 90 min
4 Space Mountain 47 min 95 min
5 Jungle Cruise 45 min 85 min
6 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure 45 min 110 min
7 The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 39 min 75 min
8 Haunted Mansion 31 min 65 min
9 Astro Orbiter 25 min 55 min
10 Pirates of the Caribbean 25 min 55 min
11 Enchanted Tales with Belle 23 min 55 min
12 The Barnstormer 23 min 50 min
13 Dumbo the Flying Elephant 22 min 55 min
14 Under the Sea – Journey of The Little Mermaid 21 min 65 min
15 The Magic Carpets of Aladdin 21 min 50 min
16 Walt Disney World Railroad – Fantasyland 21 min 45 min
17 Walt Disney World Railroad – Main Street 20 min 20 min
18 “it’s a small world” 18 min 55 min
19 Tomorrowland Speedway 18 min 45 min
20 Mad Tea Party 16 min 40 min
21 The Hall of Presidents 15 min 20 min
22 Mickey’s PhilharMagic 12 min 20 min
23 Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover 12 min 30 min
24 Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor 12 min 30 min
25 Country Bear Musical Jamboree 10 min 10 min
26 Prince Charming Regal Carrousel 10 min 25 min
27 Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room 10 min 10 min
28 Swiss Family Treehouse 6 min 10 min
29 Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress 5 min 5 min

Magic Kingdom strategy from the data: TRON and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are in a completely different league from everything else. Both should be Lightning Lane or rope drop. Peter Pan’s Flight is the biggest overachiever — it averages nearly 50 minutes and is not a thrill ride. That 49-minute average is the data telling you to use Lightning Lane or skip it. Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain all deliver significantly more ride time per wait minute than Peter Pan.

Best Time of Day to Ride the Most Popular Attractions

All times below reflect actual park operating hours in local time. Hours near or after park close are filtered out of the analysis.

Ride Park Best Time Avg Wait Worst Time Avg Wait
Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure Islands of Adventure Near park closing 102 min 9:00 AM ET 158 min
Mine-Cart Madness Epic Universe Near park closing 71 min 11:00 AM ET 152 min
Guardians: Cosmic Rewind EPCOT Near park closing 61 min 6:00 PM ET 117 min
Slinky Dog Dash Hollywood Studios Near park closing 51 min 11:00 AM ET 106 min
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Magic Kingdom Near park closing 42 min 1:00 PM ET 71 min
Radiator Springs Racers Disney California Adventure Near park closing 54 min 11:00 AM PT 114 min
TRON Lightcycle / Run Magic Kingdom 8:00 AM ET 64 min 8:00 PM ET 93 min

The pattern across nearly every major ride: the last hour before park close consistently produces the shortest waits of the day. Mid-morning between 9 AM and noon is the worst window for most rides — parks fill up fast after opening, and waits spike before lunch. The one exception is TRON Lightcycle / Run, which runs long all day. Its best window is rope drop at 8:00 AM ET before the crowds build.

Important note: “Near park closing” means the final 1-2 hours before the park closes for the day. Exact close times vary by day and season — always check the official park app before you go. The strategy works because most guests head to the exit ahead of close, clearing the queues on the highest-demand rides.

Busiest Day of the Week Across All Parks

Wednesday and Thursday are the busiest days by average wait time in our dataset, which runs counter to the common advice that midweek is quieter. Here is the full breakdown.

Day Avg Wait (All Parks)
Monday 30.8 min
Tuesday 31.5 min
Saturday 32.0 min
Sunday 31.8 min
Friday 33.7 min
Thursday 35.0 min
Wednesday 35.6 min

Monday and Tuesday are statistically the best days to visit based on average wait times. Wednesday and Thursday run about 5 minutes longer on average, which adds up across a full park day. Saturday and Sunday are not as crowded as most people assume — the data shows weekends run only slightly above Monday-Tuesday levels.

Which Disney World Park Has the Longest Average Wait?

Hollywood Studios averages the longest waits of any Walt Disney World park in our dataset, driven by Slinky Dog Dash, Rise of the Resistance, and Millennium Falcon. Magic Kingdom, despite having the most rides, has the lowest average wait because most of its attractions pull under 25 minutes.

Park Avg Wait Peak Wait Recorded Rides Tracked
Hollywood Studios 50 min 185 min 9
EPCOT 41 min 240 min 14
Animal Kingdom 36 min 165 min 8
Magic Kingdom 26 min 130 min 29

The Lowest Wait Rides: Where to Go When You Need a Break

Every park has rides that consistently run under 10 minutes. These are the best options when you need to keep moving without burning Lightning Lane credits.

  • Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress (Magic Kingdom): 5 min average. Air conditioning included.
  • Swiss Family Treehouse (Magic Kingdom): 5-6 min average. Walk-through, no line.
  • Country Bear Musical Jamboree (Magic Kingdom): 10 min average. Almost never has a wait.
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (Magic Kingdom): 12 min average. Covered, moving, comfortable.
  • Bowser Jr. Challenge (Epic Universe): 9 min average. The one Epic Universe ride that is always walkable.
  • Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment (Epic Universe): 16 min average. Consistently the second-shortest Epic Universe wait.
