Universal studios Orlando recently announced a variety of new attractions debuting in their parks this summer, from all new shows to a brand new land full of incredible attractions
With so many great things on Universal’s horizons, it’s almost hard to believe that they are continuing to offer guests brand new experiences even during the ongoing construction of their newest park, Epic Universe, which is set to open in the summer of 2025.
In the meantime, the theme park destination giant has made it clear that their existing properties have not been forgotten. With two new brand new night time shows, a new daytime parade, and a brand new land opening across both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Universal has made it clear that nothing is going to stop them in their mission to bring the highest quality themed entertainment to central Florida.
Theme Park Shark previously reported on the new offerings of DreamWorks Land, the new land that has been under construction to replace the old Kidzone area in Universal Studios. Now, we are happy to announce that Universal has finally released an opening date for this immersive new land , and that guests will be able to experience new attractions featuring their favorite DreamWorks characters starting June 14th, 2024! Explore Shrek’s Swamp, the land of Trolls, and the epic world of Kung Fu Panda in the highly anticipated DreamWorks Land. In addition to DreamWorks Land, Universal studios is also debuting their brand new daytime parade. Guests may remember the Universal Superstar Parade featuring fan favorite characters like Dora and Diego, SpongeBob and Friends, and Gru and the Minions of Despicable Me.
With the new Mega Movie Parade, premiering July 3rd, guests of all ages will be able to see their favorite characters jump off the silver screen and into the streets of Universal Studios, including some of the most classic characters in the history of Universal’s long line of blockbuster films, like Jurassic Park and ET, as well as some more colorful characters like the Trolls.
Universal also plans to debut two new nighttime shows on June 14th, alongside the opening of DreamWorks Land. With one new show in each park, there’s no shortage of exciting experiences opening up across the resort!
Guests will be able to sit around the Lagoon at Universal Studios to experience the all new CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular. This new nighttime show will feature the theatrical scores of some of Universal’s most famous soundtracks, including Harry Potter, Jaws, and Jurassic Park. Available for viewing on select nights, this new nighttime show is sure to be a beautiful tribute to the art of cinematic composition, paying tribute to the soundtracks that have defined some of the most impactful films in pop culture.
And at Islands of Adventure, guests will be able to witness an all new show taking place against the Hogwarts Castle. With a long history of magical projector shows creating a dazzling atmosphere in the streets of Hogsmede, it’s no doubt that Hogwarts: Always will be a magical and awe inspiring experience just like its predecessors. Featuring the classic John Williams score that defined a film series, guests will be able to witness a journey through a year at Hogwarts, revisiting some of the most iconic scenes to grace its hallowed halls.
