With Halloween Horror Nights just around the corner, many fans have been waiting in eager anticipation for the first announcement of the season as Universal Studios begins to unveil this year’s Halloween Horror Nights lineup. Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait any longer, as the first wave of Halloween Horror Nights announcements has begun!
On Friday evening, Universal Orlando tweeted the following:
As the first confirmed house of the season, it’s not hard to believe that the announcement was met with excitement, with many fans hungry for more information about the park’s 34th year and what new scares the award-winning event might bring.
While many fans take to speculating what offerings might be included in each year’s event, nothing is truly set in stone until Universal Orlando makes the definitive announcement. Though the theme park’s social media and PR accounts have the final say in what media properties and original concepts get immortalized into the Halloween Horror Nights cannon, the yearly speculation maps are still a fun and exciting part of anticipating what houses will be offered every year.
With this newest announcement, fans are undoubtedly feeling the excitement as the most recent version of this year’s speculation map seems to have accurately predicted the resurrection of Slaughter Sinema. The original Slaughter Sinema debuted in 2018 as part of Halloween Horror Nights 28; originally set in a theater showing various camp horror films, Slaughter Sinema took guests through a collection of fictional B-Movie horror flicks, including Cult of the Beast Baby and Sorority Sacrifice. With Slaughter Sinema 2, guests can expect even more of Universal Creative’s trademark tongue-in-cheek blend of humor, horror, and cheesy cliché.
Theme Park Shark is watching Universal’s social media and PR closely to bring you the most up-to-date information about new house announcements and other Halloween Horror Nights news.
