The planning and budgeting phase for any big vacation can be intense. Where to stay? How much will tickets cost? And the most unpredictable question of all: where to eat?
A day in the theme parks can be tightly budgeted, but the food bill can still stack up quickly. Whether it be a few dollars for a drink you might not have anticipated buying during the hottest part of the day, or forty dollars for a pizza to feed the family during a hectic lunch hour, the food and dining options can vary wildly between locations, and no matter how strictly you budget your Orlando Vacation, you may find yourself spending more than anticipated on food and beverages within the parks.
Thankfully, there are options to help mitigate the already hefty price tag that entering the parks will saddle you with. For guests looking to stay at a Universal Orlando Resort Hotel during their multi-night vacation, Universal’s latest deal may help reduce the sticker shock of some of those dining room bills.
In order to take advantage of this promotion, guests are required to stay for four nights or more at any qualifying Universal Orlando Resort hotel from November 7th, 2024 to April 10th, 2025. Block out dates for this promotion run from December 20th, 2024 to January 4th, 2025, covering the extra-busy week of Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
This promotion works on a sliding scale – the value the dining card you receive depends on what hotel you’re staying at and how long you stay.
For instance, guests staying at one of Universal’s premier hotels – The Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel, or the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel, each of which can run you around 500 dollars a night, minimum – for at least five nights will receive a $1,000 Food and Beverage Card (in addition to the regular premier hotel perks, like free Unlimited Express Pass and Early Park Admission!) whereas those staying at one of Universal’s budget hotels – either the Surfside Inn and Suites or the Dockside Inn and Suites – for a minimum of four nights will receive a $300 dollar Food and Beverage card.
Universal Orlando Resort has structured this incredible offer to ensure that there is an option for every budget, with nine of their hotels offering this deal for the valid dates of travel.
With one of the most expensive food items on Universal Orlando Resort’s property being the 48 oz. Bone-In Tomahawk Steak from the Hard Rock Hotel’s premier restaurant The Kitchen, clocking in at a humble $150.00 before tax and gratuity, getting a killer deal on Food and Beverages throughout the resort is a must. If you’re already looking to book during the dates this deal is valid – or if you’re on the fence about that vacation you probably need – then looking into this deal should be a priority before any bookings are made.
More information and a full breakdown on the tiers of offerings at Universal Orlando Resort’s hotels can be found on their website, [here]. Happy travels, and bon appétit!
All we need is for Universal to add more non nauseating dark rides like ET and MIB, and maybe a touch of Americana, and we’ll be able to cut our Disney ties for good. Or at least until the Mouse comes to it’s senses and starts catering to is actual guests again. Just a touch too much top thrill rides at Universal for some of us older lifelong Disney patrons.
