LEGOLAND California will follow shortly after, with their Galacticoaster opening on March 6, 2026.
What is Galacticoaster?
Galacticoaster is a fully immersive indoor roller coaster that sends guests on a space mission aboard a spaceship. The attraction combines the nostalgic charm of classic LEGO Space sets with modern ride technology, creating an experience designed for families and thrill-seekers alike.
The ride is currently in the testing phase, with LEGOLAND sharing videos of test runs on social media. The coaster appears to feature multiple launches and immersive show scenes throughout the experience.
Meet Biff Dipper: The First Robotic LEGO Minifigure
LEGO Galaxy introduces guests to Biff Dipper, described by LEGOLAND as the first robotic LEGO Minifigure ever created for their parks. Biff serves as the Chief Engineer of LEGO Galaxy and will greet guests as they prepare for their mission on Galacticoaster.
The new area also features a variety of alien characters from across the cosmos who have made LEGO Galaxy their home.
Behind the Scenes Series
LEGOLAND has also launched a new video series called “The Making of Galacticoaster” which takes fans behind the scenes with Merlin’s Magic Making team to show how the attraction came to life. The first episode dropped today on LEGOLAND’s social media channels.
Spring Break Timing
The February 27 opening date positions Galacticoaster perfectly for spring break season. LEGOLAND Florida has been promoting the coaster as a must-do experience for families planning spring visits to Central Florida.
LEGOLAND Florida is located in Winter Haven, approximately 45 minutes from Walt Disney World and the Orlando-area attractions. The park is designed primarily for families with children ages 2-12.
