Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland will reopen tomorrow, February 13, after being closed for refurbishment since January 20. The Disneyland website has removed the attraction from its refurbishment calendar and listed operating hours of 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
During the nearly month-long closure, small thematic changes were made to the attraction’s exterior. These updates are connected to the broader Galaxy’s Edge timeline shift announced earlier this year, which will expand Batuu’s setting beyond the sequel trilogy era to include all Star Wars eras. That change officially takes effect on April 29, 2026.
Oga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge remains closed for its own updates and is scheduled to reopen on March 14.
The Galaxy’s Edge timeline changes have only been announced for Disneyland Resort. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World has not received a similar announcement.
What to Expect When It Reopens
Rise of the Resistance takes guests on a mission with the Resistance against the First Order, featuring trackless ride vehicles, multiple ride systems, and one of the most immersive queue experiences at any Disney park. The attraction opened at Disneyland in January 2020 and has remained one of the most popular rides in the resort.
With the ride returning just ahead of Presidents’ Day weekend, guests visiting Disneyland this weekend can expect it to be operational with standard standby and Lightning Lane availability.
Galaxy’s Edge Timeline Changes
Disney announced earlier this year that Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland would shift from its original sequel trilogy-era setting to encompass all Star Wars eras. The change is expected to bring new character encounters and experiences to the land. Oga’s Cantina is likely receiving updates to reflect this broader timeline before its March 14 reopening.
