The Disney x Formula 1 “Fuel the Magic” collaboration is hitting high gear this week, with a wave of new product drops timed to the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai International Circuit (March 13-15).
Disney Parks announced the latest drops on March 11, with Mickey and Minnie Mouse showing up trackside in Formula 1-inspired uniforms as racing superfans. The new merchandise is available at the F1 Hub, Paddock Club, and Fan Zone at the circuit, with select styles also online at F1.com. Shanghai Disneyland Resort is also part of the activation – the park is hosting its own dedicated F1 Fuel the Magic experience on-site throughout race weekend.
What Is New for the Chinese Grand Prix
A new wave of Disney x Formula 1 street-ready styles is headlining the Shanghai drop. Designed by the Disney Creative Team and led by Global Creative Director Bobby Kim, the core collection includes graphic race tees, structured 5-panel caps, elevated outerwear, and a Shanghai-specific host city capsule that captures the energy of the Chinese Grand Prix.
MINISO is also part of the action, with a 30-plus piece collectible capsule hitting at the same time. The lineup includes blind-box vinyl figures, racing-suited plush, statement caps, patterned socks, drinkware, tech accessories, and blankets. The collection leans into bold red-and-black palettes, helmet iconography, and checkered details.
The broader “Fuel the Magic” collaboration also includes global fashion partnerships with Gentle Monster, Culture Kings, and Uniqlo, plus Disney Store exclusives available at select race weekends.
The Bigger Picture
The “Fuel the Magic” partnership between Disney and Formula 1 launched its first race in 2025 at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where Mickey Mouse took over the Fountains of Bellagio. The 2026 season extends the multi-year collaboration across select race weekends with original content, fashion collabs, and immersive activations.
Disney and WEBTOON are also running a companion comic series called “Mickey x F1 Racing to the Top!” which debuted during the Australian Grand Prix and drops new episodes in sync with each race weekend throughout 2026.
