Takumi-Tei at EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion just launched its new spring omakase menu, and it’s a standout. The restaurant, tucked inside one of the most beautifully designed spaces at Walt Disney World, runs a seasonal tasting menu that changes four times a year — meaning every visit is genuinely different.
The name means “House of the Artisan” in Japanese. Five rooms inside are each designed around a natural element: water, wood, earth, stone, and washi paper. Even the coasters carry meaning. It’s the kind of place where the space earns as much attention as the food.
The Spring 2026 Menu
The full omakase runs seven courses, with a vegetarian option available throughout. There’s also a semi course menu for a lighter experience. The spring menu is built around cherry blossom season — the flavors and presentation both lean into it.

Course 1 — Ichiju Sansai: Three seasonal dishes served together. The star is a lightly fried tofu in silken white miso broth with Japanese mustard and pickled cherry blossom. Also included: kombu-cured sea bream with edible gold leaf, and salmon roe with spring vegetables in white sesame dressing, finished with silver leaf.
Course 2 — Chilled Seasonal Appetizer: Charcoal-grilled razor clam and tataki-style Spanish mackerel, served inside an actual clamshell, accented with sea urchin and wasabi jelly. Vegetarian guests get assorted seasonal vegetables with silken wasabi jelly.

Course 3 — Spring Hanami Hassun Platter: A full spread of small bites themed to cherry blossom season. Highlights include saikyo miso-grilled flounder, horse mackerel kosode sushi, and a delicately simmered prawn. The platter is presented with actual cherry blossoms and edible flowers.
Course 4 — Simmered Dish: Lightly coated greenling with lotus root dumpling, petal-carved daikon, and seasonal greens in plum sauce with fresh yuzu. One of the most-praised courses at the table.
The Main Course Options

Course 5 — Main: Three options to choose from:
- Crisp tempura of Japanese Black Wagyu with Sakura-infused mashed potatoes and sweet sake velouté
- Char-grilled Japanese Black Wagyu sirloin (available as an upgrade) — same Sakura mashed potatoes and sweet sake sauce
- Crisp fan-shaped white shrimp tempura with egg yolk vinegar emulsion
The char-grilled wagyu is the move. Sakura mashed potatoes deserve their own mention.
Course 6 — Rice Course: Pressed eel sushi with shredded egg and Japanese sansho pepper, plus spinach and silken tofu in red miso soup. Comes with an origami hat keepsake.
Course 7 — Dessert: Matcha tea prepared tableside, alongside a selection of seasonal sweets. The server hand-mixes the matcha at your table.
