With Halloween Horror Nights just around the corner, it’s hardly a surprise that fans have seen the second house announced just three days after the first. On Friday evening, Universal Orlando announced the return of Slaughter Sinema, a fan-favorite house from 2018 that takes guests through the most horrifying scenes of various fictional B-Movie Horror Flicks. While that announcement was undoubtedly met with enthusiasm from fans of the event who hold Slaughter Sinema in high regard, it only left guests hungry for more information on the upcoming offerings of the 2024 season.
Monday afternoon, Universal Orlando revealed the second house of the season across social media, posting the following announcement to both Instagram and Twitter/X:
Appearing to be another original Universal creation rather than a house based around any existing intellectual properties such as horror films, games, or television franchises, Goblin’s Feast is the second official announcement from Halloween Horror Nights Orlando to hit the internet in just a few short days.
Described in the tweet as being centered around the “Goblin’s Feast Tavern” in the Goblin Village populated by beasts and creatures such as hobgoblins and witches, Goblin’s Feast seems to be a heavily fantasy-leaning house that evokes memories of last year’s Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate house, where fantasy creatures reign supreme and the mortals who dare to enter their realm quickly find themselves to be the main course of a gruesome feast attended by bloodthirsty creatures of all shapes and sizes.
Though difficult to tell if this year’s most recent speculation map had predicted Goblin’s Feast, one might be able to glean some connection through the icon designated to the Soundstage 24 B location (SS24B on the map); though the announcement makes the Goblin’s Feast sound much more gruesome than a candy-filled delight reminiscent of Hansel and Gretel, the aesthetics of the house have yet to be determined beyond the initial key art of the announcement’s logo reveal.
Of course, the potential for Goblin’s Feast to be located in the Fast and Furious queue (F&F on the map) means that this announcement may also finally flesh out all of the speculated houses that we may see this ear at Halloween Horror Nights 33.
While fans eagerly await more information on the houses, scare zones, and shows that have yet to be announced, Theme Park Shark will continue to report on the latest news coming out of Universal Orlando resort about this headliner marquee event.
