As we creep closer and closer to the grand opening of what will be the largest theme park in the world, it’d be an understatement to say that people are excited. Quite literally a historic opening, Epic Universe is set to open to the public May 22nd, 2025, allowing guests to explore five new lands each expertly themed to transport you to new worlds.
And just like every Universal experience, part of the immersion is the food! Who doesn’t love theme park food? Long gone are the days of mediocre burgers and dry chicken tenders as the standard theme park fare. These days, the Orlando parks have stepped up their game and offered a wide selection of expertly crafted food and beverage options. Themed food and beverages are a main attraction at many of Universal’s seasonal events, and Epic Universe aims to take that concept to the next level, offering guests highly themed and even more delicious food and beverage options that fall perfectly in line with the worlds they’re intertwined with. From the viking isle of Berk to the village of Darkmoor and even the Mushroom Kingdom, the foods revealed in this sneak peek were all crafted with story and environment in mind.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
“The streets of wizarding Paris are home to delightful cafes, including Café L’air De La Sirène. Dine inside or outside as you enjoy French baked goods, sandwiches, plats du jour and desserts. You can quench your thirst with Butterbeer™ along with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks including beer, cocktails and French wines.”

Right off the bat, the bar is already astronomically high, with Wizarding Paris being set in one of the most renowned culinary landmarks in the world. Café L’air De La Sirène in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic has us covered, with offerings from breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a magical flair! A fast-casual dining location offers a cafe-esque dining experience, allowing guests to sit on the streets of Wizarding Paris and enjoy the magic of Parisian life.

Breakfast offers both savory and sweet options, including the delectable Quiche Lorraine, featuring an egg and cream custard topped with bacon and melty cheese in a flaky, buttery pie crust. This dish is served with a size of mixed berries in a lavender honey drizzle, and is perfect for a slow, relaxing breakfast you can truly savor.
For lunch and dinner, a variety of foods for every palette will be available, at the Café L’air De La Sirène; one of the feature items on this Parisian-inspired menu is the Poulet à la Provençal, a roasted half chicken finished with tomato olive vinaigrette and served with roasted potatoes and french green beans.
Guests visiting the Café L’air De La Sirène will also be able to witness the ultimate in sweet treats – housed within the Café are dessert displays constructed from nearly 2,000 individual cream puffs! This display, called the Choux à la Crème, is going to tower over guests who visit the cafe as an enticing delight made possible only through the magic of Wizarding Paris. We all know Universal never does anything in half-measured, but what a sight!
Le Goblet Noir is another fast-casual restaurant in Wizarding Paris, allowing guests to try unique Parisian dishes you won’t want to miss! Guests can order the Alchemist’s Platter to sample a variety of Parisian foods, including smoked sausage, potato and cheese pierogies, and pickled eggs. Other offerings include marinated beets, caramelized onions, and an warm, soft pretzel served with German mustard and cheese fondue sauce for dipping in style!
For guests looking to eat around the Wizarding World while keeping in line with their dietary restrictions, Universal’s Epic Universe is also offering a Lentil Stew, which is a vegan-friendly dish that perfectly marries tender lentils and vegan bacon with root veggies, served with a soft and fluffy artisan bread to (once again!) dip in style.
The dipping is the most important part of any meal, of course!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will also be serving select alcoholic beverages, like beer, specialty cocktails, and French wine selections available from a variety of vendors within the land. Yes, the legal drinking age in France is 18 years old. No, that’s not going to work here! It goes without saying that guests must be 21 or older and have valid ID to be served any alcoholic beverages that are served on Universal Orlando Resort Property.
And speaking of beers, the Wizarding World wouldn’t be magical without Butterbeer, of course! A staple of both the Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley locations, Wizarding Paris is no exception, and will be found throughout the land in a variety of new and exciting Butterbeer treats. Check out the Bièraubeurre cart in the streets for cold, hot, frozen, and non-dairy Butterbeer on the go, or check out the Bièraubeurre Crepe. With shortbread cookie butter Bavarian cream and Butterbeer cream folded inside of a thin, buttery crepe, this dish is topped with a Butterbeer drizzle, fresh strawberries, a shortbread cookie, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

With all of these magical new offerings, the first of this Foodie Sneak Peek is already hitting it out of the park. With the Isle of Berk, Darkmoor, Super Nintendo World, and Celestial Park left to sample from, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic has already set the bar pretty high as far as new offerings for those looking to try all the brand new themed goodies that will be debuting this year at Epic Universe!
