Whether you grew up with the books, which started publication in the states in 2004, or met Hiccup for the first time in the DreamWorks animated masterpiece of the same name in 2010, fans of the How to Train Your Dragon Series – wait no longer! Epic Universe is finally bringing this incredible and colorful world of vikings and dragons to life, with the Isle of Berk, where guests will be able to explore the Hooligan tribe village, interact with dragons of all shapes, sizes, and classes, and take part in viking training that’s sure to make a decent pirate out of you one way or another!
But viking life isn’t all about meade halls and pirate ships – you also have to look the part! No one’s going to take a viking seriously, after all, if they don’t look like a viking! Imagine, for instance, if you were small and scrawny and had red hair that stuck up vertically! No one would take you seriously at all!
That’s where the viking gear comes in. Epic Universe has all sorts of treasures to make sure you leave Berk looking like a viking, ready to wrestle with a Windwalker or rob some Romans!
Guests will be able to gear up at retail locations like Viking Traders, where plenty of cosplay attire can be purchased to ensure you’re so ready for your next viking raid that those Bog Burglars won’t know what hit them! Guests can find the traditional Berkian horned helmets, masks, shirts, shields, and swords at this location, and gear up for their epic adventure around the archipelago. Guests can also swing by Hiccup’s Work Shop for some more rustic viking gear.

But let’s be real, here. Vikings are cool and all, but you’re here for the real star of the show. Sorry, Hiccup, actual protagonist of the entire series and hero of the archipelago, we’re here for your useless reptile. That’s right – it’s no secret that Toothless has captivated the hearts of would-be vikings since the first movie premiered, and the good folks of Berk know it, too! That’s why guests visiting the island can stop by Toothless’ Treasures, conveniently located right next to the hatchery. Have you ever wanted Toothless merch? This is where you find it.
Stuffed to the gills (if your dragon is a Tidal Class, that is) with dragon merch and memorabilia, Toothless’ Treasures is the perfect pit stop to find your dragon-themed goodies, like blind box collectible dragon toys, apparel, and plush toys and accessories inspired by the various dragons of Berk. And just like these dragons come in every shape, size, and color, so do the items sold on the Isle of Berk.

Each one featuring vibrant colors that rival that of a dragon’s scales, these apparel and accessory items are perfect for the viking who likes to make a bold statement (but maybe not suggested for those trying to be stealthy burglars!).
Guests looking to involve themselves in the cultural aspect of Berkian life can adopt-a-dragon, with a cross-body egg carrier that holds a plush dragon, or just treat themselves to any of the quite frankly countless merchandise items featuring Toothless.

Seriously, there’s so much Toothless stuff.
Did you know that dragons have a sweet tooth? Sure! Have you ever seen a Whispering Death? At least one of those teeth has to be a sweet tooth. There’s a shop for that, too! Head over to How to Treat Your Dragon for an array of viking sweets like mystery chocolate dragon eggs. Each one features a trading card and comes in unique dragon house-themed packaging. Or, if you’re trying to cut back on dragon eggs in your diet, try some marshmallow sheep! I hear they’re not baaaaaah-d!
Whatever kind of dragon you train, whether it be a Monstrous Nightmare or a Scauldron, the Isle of Berk and all its viking residents are there to get you started on your dragon-training journey! Check out the shops and retail centers scattered around the Isle of Berk to really enhance your viking experience, and be sure to brush up on your Dragonese before Epic Universe opens on May 22nd!
So, ask your freeundlee to do di onga at Epic Universe so you can train greenclaws and then go munch-munch some scrumlush chocklush.
