With the opening of Epic Universe this month, May 22nd, 2025, Universal Orlando Resort has decided to expand its flagship gift shop on CityWalk. After the closure of Quiet Flight in April of 2024, Universal Orlando announced that they would be taking over the newly-empty space to expand its Studio Store, to accommodate the addition specially-curated Epic Universe merchandise, as well as food and beverage from within the parks. This new expansion to the Universal Studios Store showcases some of the park’s newest and most beloved franchises.
With the advent of this new expansion, Universal Orlando Resort has chosen to focus on two of its most popular franchises, giving them dedicated spaces within this expansion so that the guests on CityWalk can experience a taste of both The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World
With The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic joining the illustrious lineup of highly-themed Wizarding World experiences at Universal Orlando Resort, Guests can, for the first time ever, enjoy select Butterbeer treats right on CityWalk. Cold and Frozen Butterbeer varieties – along with a selection of other specialty items from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – will be available at the Butterbeer counter inside this expanded section of the store, and guests will be able to purchase one of the new second generation interactive wands at participating locations.
Also available inside the Universal Studios Store expansion is a brand-new section dedicated to Super Nintendo World, where guests can find merchandise featuring all of their favorite Nintendo characters, like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peace, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and more. In honor of Universal’s partnership with Nintendo as they bring Mario and friends to sunny Florida, the expanded portion of this shop has been given its own dedicated entrance, themed to the colorful and interactive world of Nintendo’s most famous video games.
With both Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic opening with Epic Universe on March 22nd, guests can enjoy this sneak peek into the epic lands of Universal Orlando’s newest theme park right from the comfort and convenience of CityWalk, with the opening of this new expanded flagship store.
