Good evening, citizen! If you’re just tuning in, you’re in for a treat! Just a few days ago, the first house was announced for Halloween Horror Nights, with Five Nights at Freddy’s spearheading this year’s announcement season; in a surprising update, a second announcement came earlier today that another popular franchise would also be featured at the event in both Orlando and Hollywood, with an eerie retro-futuristic announcement from Vault-Tec that gets two thumbs up! That’s right: Fallout is coming to Halloween Horror Nights.
Fallout, which features the adventures of a select few who have survived a nuclear apocalypse only to find the ruins of the world around them, first rose to fame in 1997 when the first Fallout game was released for Windows and MS-DOS systems. Originally an isometric turn-based role-playing game, the original Fallout and its sequel (which released a year later) were very different from the first-person shooter that fans know and love today. Featuring pixel art graphics and a three-quarters angle showcasing small sections of game map, it’s safe to say that the world of Fallout has changed drastically since the 90s – but that its core message, the tongue-in-cheek writing, and sci-fi flavor that has colored the world of Fallout remains the same. That being said, even the original Fallout was a huge hit and a cult classic to this day, as it spawned a franchise spanning eleven games, two seasons of adapted television streaming on Prime Video, six tabletop games, and endless Vault-Tec and Nuka-Cola merch.
“The cinematic series is set in the year 2296, two hundred years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization. All that is left is an eradicated and highly violent hellscape known as The Wasteland crawling with mutated animals and creatures, while gentle citizens take refuge underground in luxury fallout shelters known as Vaults.”
Guests will be able to follow the nuclear adventure of vault-dweller Lucy MacLean as she escapes the underground fallout bunker and explores the vast wilds of The Wasteland above, coming face to face with Scavengers, Raiders, Ghouls, RAD Roaches, and more. Explore iconic locations like Vault 33 and the Super Duper Mart, and see if you have hat it takes to survive The Wasteland.
For those looking to get into the Vault-Tec spirit, all episodes of Fallout are now available to stream on Prime Video, which will help you prepare for all the horrors The Wasteland can throw at you! Check it out now on Prime, and be prepared for the future, today!
