The biggest Disney news in years! Josh D’Amaro has officially been named the next Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, effective March 18, 2026. D’Amaro beat out over 100 candidates for the position and brings decades of parks experience to the top job.
Dana Walden has also been named President and Chief Creative Officer โ the first woman to ever hold this position in Disney history. Bob Iger will stay on as Senior Advisor through December 31, 2026.
๐ Space Mountain Closure at Disneyland
Space Mountain has been added to Disneyland’s refurbishment calendar, meaning two major thrill rides (Space Mountain and Matterhorn) will be closed simultaneously. No reopening date announced yet.
