Hersheypark opened for its 120th operating season on Friday, April 3, 2026. The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania is running its Spring Weekends schedule through May 17, with daily summer operations beginning May 21.
What Is Open for Spring Weekends
The park is open weekends from April 3 through May 17, plus Good Friday and Fridays in May. Hours vary by day, with extended hours over Easter weekend (April 3-5). Fourteen roller coasters are available for the spring season, including the Comet, the park’s oldest continuously operating coaster, which turns 80 this year.
The park features the largest coaster collection in the Northeast with more than 70 rides spread across 121 acres.
New for Summer 2026
Two new water play areas are coming to The Boardwalk at Hersheypark’s Bayside Pier section when the water park opens for summer. The Inlet at Bayside Pier will feature water-spouting dolphins, fish, and spray features under shaded canopies. The Island at Bayside Pier will debut 10-foot-tall palm trees that tip buckets of water. Together, the two areas add 45 aquatic elements.
The Boardwalk water park is included with standard Hersheypark admission and opens daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Tickets and Pricing
Tickets are available on Hersheypark.com. Every admission ticket includes a complimentary Preview Plan, which grants extra evening access to the park the night before a scheduled full-day visit. Season passes are also available in Giant Size, King Size, Full Size, and Bite Size tiers.
