One of Disneyland Resort’s finest dining experiences is about to make its grand return. Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa reopens on February 6, 2026, and from everything I’ve seen so far, this reimagined restaurant looks absolutely stunning.
Napa Rose has been closed for a significant renovation, and Disney hasn’t just given it a fresh coat of paint — they’ve completely elevated the entire dining experience while honoring the restaurant’s 25-year legacy of wine country cuisine.
Reservations are available now at Disneyland.com and NapaRose.com — they opened up on January 27, so I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later if you want a table in those first few weeks.
The New Bar and Lounge
If you’re the type who likes to drop in without a reservation (that’s me most of the time), the reimagined bar and lounge is going to be your spot. They’ve added cozy, intimate seating areas, a gorgeous new bar, and — this is the part that got me — a new fireplace. There’s something about a fireplace in a Disney restaurant that just hits different.
The bar and lounge will serve crafted cocktails and luxurious small bites à la carte, and walk-ins are welcome (subject to availability, of course). They’ve also renovated the outdoor patio for alfresco dining, which sounds like the perfect way to spend a Southern California evening.
Main Dining Room: Prix Fixe and Wine Pairings
The main dining room is debuting a seasonal prix fixe menu with the option to add custom wine pairings to your multi-course meal. You can choose to dine indoors surrounded by their impressive 1,500-label wine collection, or outdoors on the expanded terrace that’s designed to feel like dining in California wine country.
For families, there’s a new and enhanced children’s menu for kids 9 and under — which is a nice touch for a fine dining spot. Reservations can be booked up to 60 days in advance.
Chef’s Counter and Private Dining
Here’s where things get really special. The Chef’s Counter seats up to 18 guests right in front of the exhibition kitchen, where the chefs personalize each course based on what’s in season and whatever creative inspiration strikes. For the first time, you can actually book Chef’s Counter seats online at NapaRose.com — previously this was much harder to snag.
There’s also a newly renovated private dining room for up to 16 guests, perfect for special occasions. You’ll need to contact the restaurant directly to book that one.
A Sneak Peek at the Menu
Chef Andrew Sutton, who’s been at the helm since Napa Rose opened in 2001, worked with Executive Chef Clint Chin on the new menu. Some highlights I’m already eyeing:
- Bar & Lounge: Beef Tartare with Osetra caviar, Bone Marrow Custard, and the Laughing Tiger (a reimagined version of the beloved Smiling Tiger Salad)
- Main Dining Room: American Wagyu N.Y. with grape fennel mustardo, Oak Roasted Forest Mushrooms, and Sorpresine Pasta with Dungeness crab and Santa Barbara uni butter
- Desserts: Nantes Carrot Cake Cremeux and an Elevated Valrhona Chocolate Bar
The pastry program is led by Executive Pastry Chef Jorge Sotelo and Pastry Chef Nubia Renteria, who each bring over 25 years of experience at Disneyland Resort. Safe to say the dessert game is going to be strong.
Bottom Line
Napa Rose has always been one of the best restaurants at Disneyland Resort, and this renovation sounds like it’s going to take it to another level. The addition of the fireplace lounge, expanded outdoor dining, and that bookable Chef’s Counter are all smart upgrades that give guests more ways to enjoy the experience.
I’ll definitely be making a reservation and will share a full review once I’ve had a chance to try the new menu. February 6 can’t come soon enough.
Have you dined at Napa Rose before? Are you planning to check out the reimagined restaurant? Let me know in the comments!
