Disney Parks is celebrating one of Disneyland Resort’s most beloved attractions, shining a spotlight on the six stunning California destinations guests experience aboard Soarin’ Over California at Disney California Adventure.
In a post shared to the official @disneyparks Instagram account, the park highlighted the journey guests take when they board the attraction: from the rolling vineyards of Napa Valley to the towering granite walls of Yosemite and beyond.
Soarin’ Over California offers guests a sweeping, immersive hang-gliding simulation across some of the state’s most iconic landscapes. The attraction uses a wide-format IMAX film combined with motion seating, ambient scents, and wind effects to put guests in the middle of a breathtaking aerial tour.
The six California destinations featured in the ride offer a tour of the state’s natural and cultural highlights, from the coast to the mountains. Guests are lifted 40 feet in the air in front of the massive domed screen as the journey unfolds around them.
Soarin’ Over California is located in the Grizzly Peak area of Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. The attraction is a California-specific version of the broader Soarin’ Around the World experience available at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT.
The post serves as a reminder of why the attraction continues to draw long standby lines and high demand for Lightning Lane reservations at the park.
