Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+. The second season officially premiered today, March 24, 2026, as scheduled. New episodes drop weekly on Disney+. Episodes 2 and 3 release together on March 31, followed by one episode per week through the May 5 finale.
Behind the Scenes: What Marvel Says About Season 2
Ahead of the premiere, D23 sat down with the cast for an exclusive look at what to expect this season. Here are the key details straight from Marvel.
Mayor Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, takes center stage as the season’s primary threat. According to D’Onofrio, “He’s going to try and change the city: He’s Kingpin, so he needs a kingdom. That’s what he’s trying to turn New York City into.” The season pits Fisk’s corrupt empire directly against Matt Murdock’s vigilante efforts from the shadows.
Charlie Cox revealed that Daredevil gets a significant costume upgrade this season. Matt Murdock spray-paints his Season 1 red suit black to stay stealthier, creating what comic readers will recognize as the Shadowland suit. Cox described it: “As the season progresses, the more he fights and the more conflict he gets into, the black spray paint starts to strip away.” The suit also finally features the “DD” logo on the chest, something Cox noted fans had been requesting since he started playing the character in 2014.
Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones after a seven-year absence. Ritter said the fan demand was impossible to ignore, hearing about it “every day, not just in press settings, but on the street, at the convenience store, the grocery store.” She confirmed fans will see Jessica having evolved while maintaining the traits they love, with more action sequences than the original series.
Deborah Ann Woll also returns as Karen Page. The full cast includes Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Krysten Ritter, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Margarita Levieva, and Michael Gandolfini. Showrunner Dario Scardapane leads the creative team, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing.
The Park Connection: Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure
For theme park fans, every major Marvel release carries weight beyond the screen. Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, which opened on June 4, 2021, serves as Disney’s dedicated Marvel hub on the West Coast. The land features Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!, and rotating character encounters that frequently align with new Marvel releases.
Character appearances at Avengers Campus have historically been tied to the current MCU slate. When new Marvel shows and films debut, the campus tends to spotlight relevant heroes. With Born Again Season 1 premiering in March 2025, guests at the campus saw increased Marvel street entertainment around that period. The pattern suggests Season 2’s debut could bring similar energy to the land.
Why This Matters for Disney Parks
Daredevil: Born Again has been one of Marvel’s most successful Disney+ series. A third season was confirmed back in September 2025, signaling long-term commitment to the franchise. That kind of sustained popularity is exactly what drives character integration at the parks.
Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure and its counterpart at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris both rotate their character rosters to reflect what’s current in the MCU. The campus has featured everyone from Spider-Man and Black Widow to Loki, Captain America, Shang-Chi, and characters from The Marvels. Street-level heroes like Daredevil fit naturally into the campus’s urban aesthetic.
Beyond character meet-and-greets, Marvel releases often influence park merchandise, food offerings, and seasonal overlays. Disney has shown a willingness to capitalize on popular streaming content across its parks ecosystem, making Born Again Season 2’s March premiere a potential catalyst for new Avengers Campus activations.
