The Disney Adventure officially departed on its maiden voyage from Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore on March 10, 2026, marking a historic first for Disney Cruise Line in Asia. The newest and largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet launched its inaugural season of three- and four-night cruises following a nearly two-month global journey from Germany. Here is a full breakdown of what the ship offers.

Christening Ceremony with Robert Downey Jr.
Disney Cruise Line officially christened the Disney Adventure on March 4, 2026, with a ceremony at Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore. The celebration began in the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the ship with performances by regional vocalists and musicians, visual effects, and appearances by Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.
A 23-piece orchestra, along with Hollywood Performing Arts Hall of Fame inductee Jed Madela and international recording artist Dami Im, performed Disney, Pixar, and Marvel melodies connected to the ship’s seven themed areas. Chairman of Disney Experiences and incoming Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Josh D’Amaro and President of Disney Signature Experiences Joe Schott joined the artists on stage.
“The Walt Disney Company has always been built on the power of storytelling and innovation,” said D’Amaro. “As our first ship to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure represents a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line and will introduce Disney to audiences who may be experiencing our magic for the very first time.”

Robert Downey Jr. served as the Godparent of the Disney Adventure, lending his voice to the ceremonial blessing. “Being the Godparent of this majestic vessel is an honor,” Downey said. He officially christened the ship: “I christen thee, Disney Adventure, may God bless this ship and all who sail upon her.”
Fireworks and Entertainment
Disney Cruise Line is bringing fireworks to the Disney Adventure with an exclusive show called “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky.” The spectacle pays tribute to The Lion King through pyrotechnics, dramatic lighting effects, and original arrangements of iconic songs from the film performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with the Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa. Shah Rukh Khan, who voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), serves as narrator. The show runs on select nights during three- and four-night voyages.

The Walt Disney Theatre on the Disney Adventure features two original Broadway-style productions: “Disney Seas the Adventure” and “Remember,” a new show featuring WALL-E and Eve. The Disney Imagination Garden outdoor stage hosts additional productions including “Captain Jack Sparrow and the Siren Queen,” “Duffy and The Friend Ship,” “Avengers Assemble!” and “Baymax Super Exercise Expo.”
Dining: Rotational Restaurants and Regional Flavors
The Disney Adventure features multiple rotational dining restaurants, each with distinct themes and menus. The Navigator’s Club and sister restaurant Hollywood Spotlight Club offer musical acts and character interactions with Mickey Mouse and friends. The Hollywood Spotlight Club is designed around the golden age of Hollywood. Menu highlights include Duck Confit Pastilla, Prawns Mumbai Bhel, Porcini Spiced Ahi Tuna Sashimi, and Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass.
Animator’s Palate and Animator’s Table return to the Disney Adventure fleet. Both transform during dinner from black-and-white to full color, with animation boards and props from films including The Little Mermaid, Encanto, and Toy Story. Regional dishes include Hainanese Chicken Rice and Laksa Lemak.
The Enchanted Summer Restaurant features rooms inspired by Tangled and Frozen, serving breakfast and lunch buffets before transitioning to seated rotational dining for dinner. Its sister location, Pixar Market Restaurant, honors Pixar Animation Studios. Notable desserts across the ship include a Chocolate Decadence, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Mickey Chocolate Tart, and Lemon Thai Basil Tart.
Storybook Castle and Ship Design
At the heart of Disney Imagination Garden sits a three-deck-tall Storybook Castle, a first-of-its-kind installation for the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Walt Disney Imagineering designed it in a paper cut-out, pop-up storybook style, drawing from Disney Park castles around the world. The castle features a three-panel stained glass window representing Disney heroines, with panels incorporating elements from Moana, Tangled, and Frozen. The Disney family crest and a hidden Mickey are among the design details.

The ship’s stern features 18-foot-tall Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse statues, making the Disney Adventure the first Disney Cruise Line ship to feature the captains as stern characters. The ship carries four funnels (compared to two on other Disney Cruise Line ships), Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever roller coaster (Ironcycle Test Run), and Marvel Landing’s Groot Galaxy Spin.
Retail: World of Disney, Duffy, and National Geographic
World of Disney debuts aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship for the first time on the Disney Adventure, with nautical-themed merchandise and designs inspired by Southeast Asia. A National Geographic Store opens at sea for the first time, offering co-branded shirts, hats, and adventure bags. The ship also introduces the first-ever dedicated Duffy and Friends Shop, featuring exclusive nautical merchandise. Concierge guests have access to two exclusive boutiques: Palace Treasures for luxury goods and fine jewelry, and 3 Wishes for one-of-a-kind apparel and collectibles. Nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space is available across the ship.
Fleet Expansion Plans
Disney Cruise Line plans to welcome five more ships to the fleet by 2031. The Disney Adventure’s homeporting in Singapore marks the line’s first presence in Asia. Singapore is a leading cruise hub in Asia with direct flights from more than 160 cities.
