Disneyland Paris officially inaugurated Disney Adventure World on Saturday, March 28, 2026, one day before its public opening. The ceremony marked the completion of a 2 billion euro transformation that renames Walt Disney Studios Park and introduces World of Frozen, the largest expansion in the resort’s history.
Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Natacha Rafalski, Presidente of Disneyland Paris, led the ceremony alongside international guests and media from around the world.

What Is Disney Adventure World?
Disney Adventure World is the new name for Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris, opening to guests on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The 2 billion euro investment has transformed more than 90% of the park’s offerings since 2002 and nearly doubles the park’s size upon full completion. The reimagined park transports guests into immersive worlds inspired by Disney Animation, Pixar, and Marvel stories.
The park now features four themed areas: World of Frozen, Worlds of Pixar, Marvel Avengers Campus, and World Premiere Plaza. A fifth area inspired by The Lion King is already under construction, with a major water-based attraction featuring next-generation Audio-Animatronics figures planned for the future.
At the heart of the park is Adventure Way, a new main avenue connecting the themed lands with a central lake called Adventure Bay. The avenue introduces 15 new dining locations, the family attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin inspired by the film Tangled, and Disney Cascade of Lights, the park’s first daily nighttime spectacular.

World of Frozen: A Full Immersion Into Arendelle
World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris recreates the Kingdom of Arendelle on a life-size scale, featuring a 118-foot-tall North Mountain crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace, a village square with Nordic-inspired architecture, and Arendelle Bay. Guests participate in the Snowflower Festival, a celebration that brings the entire village to life.
The centerpiece attraction, Frozen Ever After, takes guests on a musical boat ride through scenes from the films, featuring songs like “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Let It Go.” The ride uses state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics figures, immersive projection technologies, and visual effects throughout.
A daytime show called A Celebration in Arendelle plays several times daily on Arendelle Bay. Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and villagers appear aboard Viking longships, with brand-new music composed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the Academy Award-winning songwriters behind the Frozen films. Olaf appears as a next-generation robotic character created by Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development.
Guests can also meet Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle, dine at Nordic Crowns Tavern with Nordic-inspired cuisine, and shop at Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop.

The Inauguration Ceremony
The inauguration ceremony on March 28 was presented by Visa, the official payment partner of Disneyland Paris. The event combined official speeches with artistic performances celebrating Disney stories.
“With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era,” said Natacha Rafalski during the ceremony.
“Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen,” said Josh D’Amaro. “From the screen to our parks, cruises, and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we’re giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways.”
French-American singer Santa performed “Into the Unknown” and “Let It Go” during the ceremony. The evening’s emotional highlight came when Lou, an 11-year-old from Make-A-Wish France, joined Santa on stage to sing “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” The moment marked the 25,000th wish granted for a child at Disneyland Paris since 1992.
The previous day, Friday, March 27, French President Emmanuel Macron visited the park alongside Disney leadership, underscoring Disneyland Paris’s position as Europe’s leading tourist destination with 445 million visits since 1992 and 6.1% of France’s tourism revenue.
Disney Cascade of Lights and New Dining
Disney Cascade of Lights is the first daily nighttime spectacular at the park. The show features 379 drones, including world-exclusive aquatic drones, along with flames, water screens, fountains, projections, and pyrotechnics. Stories from Moana, Mulan, Hercules, Zootopia, Up, and the Marvel Universe are featured, with an original anthem called “We Can Be Heroes.”
Adventure Way introduces 15 new dining locations, led by The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge. This table-service restaurant offers innovative cuisine inspired by Disney Princess characters, with character dining featuring Belle, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel. The Regal View Lounge is the first lounge inside either Disneyland Paris park, offering views over Adventure Bay and World of Frozen.
What Else Is Coming
Construction began in fall 2025 on the first themed area dedicated to The Lion King. The land will feature a major attraction combining water-based thrills with next-generation Audio-Animatronics figures, following Simba’s adventures set to the songs of the 1994 film. No opening date has been announced.
The Frozen 3 creative team attended the inauguration, including Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush, Frozen writer/director Jennifer Lee, co-director Trent Correy, and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
